Our OLTC refers to On-Load Tap-Changers and OLTC Distribution Transformers are required for larger electrical power transformation. There is no permission required for terminating the transformer during the changing of tap. There are diverted tanks designed in these transformers and they are attached to main transformer tank. The tap selectors are arranged mostly in circular form in the tank and there is rapid sequence designed for separated making and breaking units. This is relatively a new technology and used in manual or fully automated form. It is majorly used for highly professional purposes and is quite expensive and complex in working.
Apart from section-wise testing of components and sub-assemblies, each transformer is tested to international standards of acceptance. Joint efforts within the organization for excellence in all functional areas are the prime-movers for achieving planned improvements and development in different processes, resulting in minimum Total Ownership Cost of the products.
